Pot Bearing
The pot bearing can be designed with hold-down devices to counteract uplift forces if necessary.
Pot bearings are classified into three types: Fixed type, Sliding Guided type, and Free Sliding type. The elastomer confined in the pot behaves like a fluid. Its hydrostatic characteristics enable the elastomer to withstand rotation and significant compressive pressure. The internal seal rings are designed to prevent the elastomer from extruding under pressure. The low coefficient of friction and good wear performance make the PTFE disk an ideal sliding material in pot bearings. An external seal is provided to exclude moisture and debris.
Manufactured by our experts at PILLAR Taiwan, these bearings carry a world-class track record. With over 20,000 units produced over the past 25 years for major domestic and international engineering projects, PILLAR guarantees uncompromising safety and durability.
Every project is unique. Our engineering team can fully customize the design of our Pot Bearings to meet the exact specifications and stringent code requirements of your project here in Thailand.
